If you are not camping in Camp Richardson, it is still a great area to check out with plenty for kids and adults to do and easy access from anywhere in South Lake Tahoe. For drivers, there is a vehicle entry fee. You can also reach Camp Rich by eBike, which is the easiest way to get around and you can bike from South Lake to Camp Richardson along the Pope Baldwin Bike Path, a paved trail that runs on the southern edge of Lake Tahoe.

The Beach - Camp Richardson Beach is one of the best Tahoe beaches for swimming or sunbathing. The beach is a ½ mile long sandy stretch. Bring your swimsuit, beach towel, and Frisbee to enjoy a day on the sand or rent a kayak or stand up paddleboard to head out to the water.
Beacon Bar and Grill - This Tahoe restaurant is a great place to grab a meal or drink directly on the water with spectacular views. Enjoy one of their famous Rum Runner cocktails and catch live music Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the summer.
Take a Cruise - The Rum Runner cruise departs from Camp Rich to Emerald Bay twice daily, giving you an opportunity to tour picturesque Emerald Bay.

Take in the History - The Tallac Historic Site is located at Camp Richardson and offers exhibits and tours in two historic homes, as well as different events throughout the summer.
